Time is running out as we are approahcing the big date! Exciting times for everyone involved and hope to see you there sharing in this great opportunity for education. What’s your level of Collaborative Leadership? In January 2010, the Institute on the Common Good is partnering with three consultant-coaches to start a yearlong experience for leaders and high level managers who want to boost their organizational performance. This distinctive program increases leader agility, which boosts collaborative performance. This is especially useful for complex and unresolved issues. We enable individuals to align their work with their life’s purpose, creating passion, focus, and significantly improved results. Leaders discover how to see and act from the emerging futures, rather than from outdated ideas and structures. The group will meet four times over the course of the year and includes monthly interaction by phone and online with ICG coaches and with their peers. - Founded in 1997, by Father Michael J. Sheeran, S.J, the Institute on the Common Good engages Regis University in matters of dialogue, discernment, and democratic deliberation. The Institute on the Common Good believes that because of the diversity inherent in the world, focusing on only one specific model or technique for resolving community issues will not allow those communities to build trust and strong relationships nor to develop innovative solutions to challenges faced by those communities. Rigid processes themselves can be deadly to effective dialogue and relationships. As a result, the Institute does not identify a specific set of techniques or steps for its work, but rather attempts to establish a climate or ethos within which the dialogue happens. The Institute on the Common Good’s Transformational Dialogue emerges from roots deep within Ignatius of Loyola’s (and the Jesuit’s) philosophy underlying communal discernment. We continue to build on these roots using some of the latest research in the emerging field of dialogue. Currently directed by Paul Alexander, Ph.D.
